FAQ

How long do I have to respond to a trademark office action?
For a non-final office action, the USPTO generally requires a response within three months of the issuance date (37 CFR 2.62(a)). You may request an extension so that the total time to respond does not exceed six months from issuance, subject to a USPTO extension fee.
Is this checklist the same as a task list in docketing software?
No. This is a composition checklist: each row is a part that must exist in the filing package, with an explicit failure mode if it is missing. Docketing tracks dates; VSSQ tracks readiness to sign.
Does VSSQ draft or e-file the response?
VSSQ can help draft firm-owned parts and run pre-release checks. A verified attorney still signs, and the firm submits through TEAS or Trademark Center. AI does not send or release.
